Where I stand

The Constitution is the foundation of law in the United States.

The Declaration of Independence is the foundation of American spirit and liberty.

The proper role of government is to protect equal rights, not provide equal things.

I support the promotion of Democracy throughout the world but recognize that the American Republic is a unique system of government not easily replicated or accepted beyond our country's borders.

I support the idea that the United States is the world's leading superpower and reject the idea that we should shy away or apologize for that responsibility.

I support a strong military but promote the concept of peace through show of force and democratic ideology.

I reject the idea of looking the other way with regards to human rights violations and unprovoked, aggressive military actions.

I support the development of strategic partnerships with foreign nations while recognizing that all partnerships are temporary and, therefore, require constant attention.

I support free trade to the extent practicable for stimulating economic progress, as well as barriers to trade for diplomatic progress, while recognizing that the sovereignty of the United States is tantamount to the security of our way of life.

I support economic growth through reduced taxes, access to private capital, incentives for small businesses, and smart but limited regulation.

I support sound budget practices through reduced government spending and intelligent financing.

I reject legislation that seeks to control an individual's freedom of choice through government control of industries and social engineering, while recognizing the value of centralized economic decision-making.

I reject Cap-and-Trade legislation and all efforts to use global warming or any other exploitation of fear as a pretext to increase federal revenues.

I support the use of clean energy sources that will reduce dependency on foreign sources, especially nuclear, clean-coal and renewable energy technologies.

I reject the idea that the wealthiest Americans must subsidize the poorest through taxes.

I reject the usurpation of Congressional power through the appointment of Czars.

I reject the idea that the government's role is to bailout private corporations, while recognizing the value of oversight and regulation.

I reject the practice of earmarks and overly-complicated legislation.

I promote the tradition of family while recognizing the individual as the fundamental element of liberty.

The government's role is to provide a society in which an individual can attain the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The government's role is not to control these rights.

More about me

I'm passionate about

...being an iconoclast. Everything in life should engage and ignite the spirit. If that means breaking the stranglehold of mainstream ideology and its habitual pessimism, so be it.

An idea worth spreading

You're an individual. Act like it.

Talk to me about

...architecture, politics, energy, current events, foreign policy, human rights, military strategy, environmental design, literature, industrial design, urbanism, art, mountaineering, adventure, spirituality.

I'm also

...a patriot, a father, a teacher, an artist, a writer, a poet, a singer, a mountaineer, an entrepreneur.

"It is of infinite moment that you should properly estimate the immense value of your national Union to your collective and individual happiness...indignantly frowning upon the first dawning of every attempt to alienate any portion of our Country from the rest, or to enfeeble the sacred ties which now link together the various parts."
